The River Moy has its staring point in the Ox Mountains and from its source makes it way through Foxford and on to Ballina over a meanandering journey of 64 miles before entering the sea at Killala Bay. The Moy as it is known, is one of the best salmon rivers in Europe with an astounding rod catch estimated at 8 to 12 thousand salmon every year.
